Man found with gunshot wound to the head in McCook

Authorities are investigating an incident where a man was found with a gunshot wound to the head in a rural area of Hidalgo County.

It all happened off FM 490 and FM 681 near McCook early Tuesday morning.

Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputes are investigating the incident.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the man was found with a gunshot wound to the head but he was not cooperating with deputies.

Action 4 News will provide more information as it becomes available.
