Cameron County Sheriff Omar Lucio has confirmed that deputies seized more than $250,000 dollars worth of cocaine from a home in Santa Rosa.

Deputies arrested both Josue Gonzalez and Alma Huerta on possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute charges late Monday afternoon.

Authorities raided a home at the southeast corner of Highway 107 and South 1st Street just after 4 p.m. Monday.

Sheriff Lucio confirmed that deputies found 18.73 pounds of cocaine inside the house.

Investigators believe the cocaine is worth more than $250,000 dollars on the streets.

Lucio said some of the bundles marked with a scorpion stamp or identification mark.
