A newspaper vendor was killed in Donna on Sunday morning.

The 50-year-old man was struck by a car south of F.M. 493, just north of the post office.

Donna Police Chief Ruben De Leon said the man, who was selling Monitor papers, had been advised not to stand at the intersection.

He was hit around 5 a.m. this morning by a driver who said he did not see the man.

The driver had no signs of alcohol and police said he is fully cooperating in the case.

According to The Monitor, the man’s name is Jesus Molina.
