Man kidnapped, assaulted and released in Penitas

Members of the Action 4 News team worked together to bring you this report.

A man was taken from his car by a group of unknown suspects around 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

The kidnapping happened near Tom Gill Road and Mile 5 ½.

The victim was taken from his car, assaulted and then brought back to his car.

Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the case.

Action 4 News will provide more information as new details become available .
