A 22-year-old woman was involved in a hit and run early Saturday morning.

Primera police are looking for the car that could have hit the woman on Wilcox Road.

The victim told police that she had left her boyfriend's house heading toward Wilson Road around 4 a.m.

She said as she was walking, a maroon 4-door Jeep approached her from behind.

She said she turned around and was blinded by the lights. The car also had large tires or a loud muffler because of the noise it was making.

The victim was struck on the right side of her body and loss consciousness.

Around 6:45 a.m., a passerby saw her laying on the ground and took her to the hospital.

The 22-year-old received a concussion and bruised ribs.

Police are looking for the driver and occupants of the maroon Jeep. They believe they could be potential witnesses.

Anyone with information on this investigation can contact Primera Crime Stoppers at 536-0076.
