Authorities are investigating a kidnapping where a man was taken at gunpoint at a home north of Alamo.

It all happened at a home off Tumi Drive just outside city limits on Wednesday.

Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating the incident.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the armed men in a light blue van took 33-year-old Jorge Cedillo from a home.

Cedillo allegedly told his family that he would be back but never returned.

Deputies have alerted neighboring law enforcement agencies but reported that the van did not have license plates.

Investigators said Cedillo had a minor criminal record and no gang or drug cartel affiliation.

It's not clear why he was taken at gunpoint.
