Authorities are investigating a three-vehicle accident that claimed in the life of a 27-year-old man in Pharr.

It all happened near the intersection of South Jackson and Juan Balli Roads on the city's southside on Christmas evening.

Pharr police told Action 4 News that it all started when a woman driving a silver Toyota Camry was heading south on Jackson Road and made a left turn in front of oncoming traffic.

Investigators said 27-year-old Juan Santiago was driving a black Dodge Neon north on Jackson Road when it hit the woman's Camry.

The impact ejected Santiago from his Neon killing him at the scene.

Pharr police said Santiago's car continued moving forward and hit an 18-wheeler also traveling north on Jackson Road.

Investigators said passengers from the Santiago's Neon and the woman's Camry were all taken to local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
