Three cars were involved in an overnight accident on Expressway 83 in Mercedes. One car even burst into flames.

The accident happened on the westbound lane near the Rio Grande Valley Premium Outlet Mall.

Authorities responded to the scene shortly after 4 a.m.

The crash caused the car that caught fire was quickly consumed by the flames.

Action 4 News is investigating the conditions of the people involved in the accident.
