Five women are facing fines following a weekend brawl outside a bar in San Benito.

San Benito police arrested the five women just before 2 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators told Action 4 News that officers were called to the Hollywood Bar on West Batts Street for  disturbance.

Officers arrived to find a large group of people in the parking lot where several women had been involved in a fight.

Police arrested five women involved in the fight and identified them as:

• Edina Gonzalez, 45
• Shaye J. Guzman, 33
• Valerie Martinez, 23
• Heather L. Hernandez, 36
• Gloria Zavala, 32

It’s not clear who started the fight or what they were fighting about but all five were charged with Class C misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

All five women appeared before San Benito Municipal Court Judge David Garza where they were each issued $400 dollar fines.

Renee Martinez with the Hollywood Bar said the five were never inside her bar but rather the fight started almost two blocks away and ended in a nearby parking lot.
