Authorities have sealed off a small corner of the UTB campus after finding an elderly man's body.
University of Texas at Brownsville officials sent out an alert early Wednesday afternoon.
According to the alert, the body of an elderly man was discovered around 1 p.m. near the corner of International Blvd and May Street.
UTB police believe there is no public safety risk but are asking students and staff to avoid the area while authorities conduct an investigation.
At this point, no foul play is believed to have taken place in the elderly man's death.
The man's identity was not immediately known but Action 4 News will provide more details as they become available.
