Kidnapped woman rescued in Edinburg

Authorities are investigating a report that a recently kidnapped woman has been found in Edinburg.

A source close to the investigation told Action 4 News that the woman was found in the city's northside.

The source said the woman was held hostage for several days.

Edinburg police confirmed that the woman was being held in a stash house for illegal immigrants and had been traumatized.

The woman made it to Seitz Gift and Fruit at 7309 North Highway 281 where authorities were called for help.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the woman appeared to have been beaten.
