Drug-laced money gets bank teller sick

Authorities are investigating a suspicious package found at a McAllen bank.

Police and fire crews are at the InterNational bank located on Ridge and South 2nd Street in McAllen.

Police Chief Victor Rodriguez told Action 4 News “we believe the box had money laced with drugs”.

Emergency crews were called in after a bank teller received the box and began feeling sick after touching the money.

The bank was quickly evacuated.

The Investigation is ongoing.
