A drunk driver was arrested Saturday night after her car rolled over and she gave police officers false information.

The accident happened on westbound Expressway 83 just north of Harlingen Medical Center.

A witness stopped to help the woman out of her car after she crashed.

According to San Benito Police Investigator Rogelio Banda, the woman told officers that her daughter had been in the car with her and was missing.

After authorities were searching for her daughter, the driver then told officers that what she said was not  true.

She said that she was driving on her way to pick up her daughter.

The woman was treated for her injures and is in custody.

Action 4 News will provide more information as new details become known.
