Brownsville has transformed their downtown streets into a car-free route so families can enjoy the city’s first CycloBia.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., people are invited to bring bicycles, tricycles, roller skates, skateboards and sneakers.
The opening ceremony is held at Dean Porter Park and various “reclovias” will be along the route.
“Reclovias” are activities featuring various exercise classes and instructions.

• UTB REK Center- UTB Health and Human Performance Department
• Lincoln Park-Healthy Communities
According to the City of Brownsville, the event was created for families to enjoy a safe, temporary environment for them to enjoy physical activity and explore the downtown area.
Healthy food concession stands will be located throughout the route.
This FREE event is modeled after a Colombian ciclovía phenomenon.
