Authorities have made an arrested in a botched Weslaco robbery where both the victim and a suspect were shot.
Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a double shooting off Amanda Street and Mile 5 Road late Monday night.
Investigators told Action 4 News that two men answered an ad from a man selling a car.
The two men allegedly pulled out guns and told the man they were going to leave with his car.
Deputies said the man responded by pulling out a gun and getting into a shootout with the robbers.
Both the victim and one of the suspects were wounded.
The victim was treated at the Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco.
But deputies reported that 21-year-old suspect Rames Gonzalez later showed up the same hospital with a gunshot wound to his calf and ankle.
Investigators searched Gonzalez's home off East Baker Drive in Progreso where they found a vehicle and weapons.
Gonzalez is out of the hospital and is expected to be arraigned on an attempted capital murder charge late Wednesday morning.
