A Donna Independent School District security guard was released from the hospital Friday evening.

He was injured while trying to break up one of three fights.

The fights all broke out around the same time at the W.A. Todd 9th grade campus.

Donna ISD Superintendent Roberto Loredo said six students in all are facing disciplinary action.

The guard complained of back pain when he fell trying to hold back a student.

He's expected to return at the start of school next week.
