Raymondville man and child attacked by bees, man hospitalized

A man and child were attacked by bees Sunday afternoon in Raymondville.

The attack happened at a home on the 1000 block of N 2nd St. around 3 p.m.

A 40-year-old man was transported to Valley Baptist Medical Center. He was stung multiple times on his head.

A child was also stung multiple times on his face, but his injuries were less severe.

Multiple dogs near the home were stung as well.

Raymondville Fire Chief Oscar Gutierrez said firefighters found the colony of bees in an alley between 2nd and 3rd Street.

The colony was sprayed down with soap and water.
