Parents can take their child’s car seat to get inspected at the Harlingen and Alamo Walmart on Saturday.

The inspections will be done from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It’s all part of a national effort for September’s Child Passenger Safety Month and National Automobile Dealers Association's "Give Kids a Lift for Life" campaign.

The Valley Automobile Dealers Association, Texas Department of Transportation, Harlingen Police Department, Walmart and Alamo and McAllen Fire Fighters have all partnered together for the inspections.

Certified inspectors from the police and fire departments will be inspecting the seats.

There will be raffles for free car seats, hot dogs and moon jumps at both events.
