Man's body found in neighborhood north of Weslaco

Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a homicide north of Weslaco.

Authorities found a man's body outside a home on Alvarez Street.

The street, located near Mile 6 1/2 and Mile 9, has been blocked off.

The body was found early Sunday around 6 a.m.

A neighbor told Action 4 News that they heard two gun shots that morning.

Investigators are working on the case.

Action 4 News will provide more information as new details become known.
