Brownsville Police are investigating a single car accident on Highway 48 on Sunday morning, adding weather may have been to blame.

Emergency crews responded at about 6 a.m. to the 6000 block of Highway 48.

According to Det. JJ Treviño, a man in his 30’s was driving his Ford Mustang when he apparently lost control of the car.

Police have not yet identified the man.

Rain soaked the Valley’s roads after a cold front pushed through the area early Sunday morning.

Action 4 News will post information as it becomes available.
