Authorities identify man who died in McAllen motorcycle accident

Authorities have identified a man who died after a wreck between a motorcycle and a car in north McAllen early Friday morning.

The fatal wreck happened at the intersection of North McColl Road and La Vista Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Friday.

McAllen police told Action 4 News that a man identified as Javier Castellanos was riding on a motorcycle.

Investigators said Castellanos' motorcyle and a car with several people were involved in a wreck.

Paramedics rushed Castellanos and people from the car to the hospital.

Police said Castellanos was listed in critical condition but later died from his injuries.
