Paramedics rushed a 16-year-old boy to the hospital for evaluation shortly after he was "tased" by Harlingen police during a domestic disturbance.

It all happened at a home on the 400 block of Lozano Street around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Harlingen police report that officers were called to a disturbance between the teen and others at a home there.

Full details were not immediately available but investigators confirmed that a police officer used a taser on a 16-year-old boy during the incident.

Officers took the teen into custody where he asked for medical attention about an hour later.

The teen's medical condition is not known at this time but Action 4 News will provide more information as it becomes available.
