A Brownsville man is behind bars after he allegedly rammed his car into another one where his ex-wife and four children were inside.

Brownsville police arrested 36-year-old Oscar Arnoldo Aleman on multiple criminal charges on Friday evening.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the incident started off East Avenue and Impala Drive where Aleman was allegedly following his ex-wife’s car.

The woman drove north on Expressway 77/83 and exited off International Boulevard where Aleman hit the front of his car into the rear of her car.

According to police, there were only minor damages four children ages 4 to 10 years old inside the woman’s car.

Both Aleman and the woman drove to the Brownsville Police Department where officer arrested Aleman on an aggravated assault with a motor vehicle charge and four counts of child endangerment.

Aleman remains behind bars at the Cameron County Jail under $70,000 dollars in bonds and an immigration detainer.
