The family of a Rio Grande Valley who died in a motorcycle accident in Hawaii has claimed his body.

The body of U.S. Marines Sgt. Michael Salinas arrived at McAllen's Miller International Airport late Thursday monring.

The Valley soldier was killed in a July 27th motorcycle accident outside a military base in Hawaii.

Family member gathered with American flags at the airport.

Salinas, a native of Mission, leaves behind a wife and their 8-month-old daughter.
