A Weslaco home is at the center of a standoff Saturday morning after law enforcement agencies search for a wanted man.

State, county and local officials have all responded to a home on Mile 2 West and Mile 13 North to arrest Jose Jaime Roque Munoz.

Munoz has a warrant out for his arrest because he is wanted for leaving a woman to die on the side of the road after a motorcycle accident.

DPS state troopers said that Munoz lost control of bike and wiped out near La Villa on July 22.

Investigators said that he fled the scene and left 44-year-old passenger Melinda Ann Guerra to die.

Munoz is now considered 'armed and dangerous', so SWAT and McAllen Bomb Squad have been called to assist with the standoff.

Agencies believe Munoz is barricaded inside the home, but  do not know for sure.

The Bomb Squad has sent a robot into the home to confirm.

Action 4 News will provide more information as new details become available.
