Authorities are looking for two men following a botched carjacking at a car wash in McAllen.

It all happened off Peking Street and Business 83 around 2:55 p.m. Thursday.

McAllen police said a man was at the car wash when two men surrounded him.

The two suspects pointed a chrome-plated handgun at his chest and demanded his car.

Police said the suspects were not successful in getting the car and were last seen running on Peking Street.

The first suspect is described as a thin Hispanic male in his early 20’s wearing a brown cap, polo stripped shirt with black/white horizontal lines, and blue jeans.

The second suspect is described as a heavy set Hispanic male wearing a camouflage cap, dark brown long sleeve button up shirt, and blue jeans.

Police released a composite sketch of the suspects on Friday in hopes of catching them.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call McAllen Crime Stoppers at (956) 687-TIPS.
