Elderly man stung 500 times by bees in San Benito

An elderly man is recovering after being stung more than 500 times by bees in San Benito.

It all happened on the 100 block of Lake View North around 2:17 p.m. Thursday.

The 88-year-old man was crushing cans at his daughter’s home when he was suddenly attacked by the bees.

He then drove himself to his home where and ambulance rushed him to a hospital.

San Benito police told Action 4 News that the man was stung more than 500 times but is expected to recover.
