A young man from Harlingen remains behind bars after a federal grand jury indicted him on child pornography charges.
Federal agents arrested 20-year-old Alejandro Baca back in June.
A federal grand jury met on Tuesday morning and indicted him on four child pornography charges.
The 20-year-old Harlingen man is accused of downloading and sharing child porn from a peer-to-peer network.
Court records show the investigation was started by the Wheaton Police Department in Illinois back in November.
The digital paper trail allegedly led to Baca's account prompting U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to search his Mississippi Street home in June.
Authorities allegedly found hundreds of images of child pornography on his computer.
Some of the images allegedly involved infants and toddlers.
A court date for the arraignment on the child pornography charges against Baca was not immediately.
