If you see a few military helicopters overhead don't be alarmed, that's the word from Congressman Henry Cuellar.
He told Action 4 News the helicopters spotted in Laredo are part of a joint military training exercise.
According to the Congressman, the ongoing violence in Mexico is not why the helicopters are here on the border.
Cuellar said its just a coincidence.
"People will see a lot more helicopters, other assets, aircrafts in the future. Its for a limited amount of time. Its a training operation between the Department of Defense and Customs and Border Protection."
Congressman Cuellar said the military exercises have been taking place since about 1989 from Brownsville to Laredo.
