Hidalgo County is offering another way to get pets spayed or neutered.

It’s all part of a program to keep the domestic animal population in the Rio Grande Valley from growing.

Residents on government assistance can get their pets spayed or neutered for just $20 dollars.

A federal grant is subsidizing the program in order to help decrease the pet population in the area.

Anyone interested in the program is asked to call the RGV Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic at (956) 687-7728.
