U.S. Marshals arrested a man wanted for several murder on Saturday in the city of Granjeno.

The Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force located Richard Criado, 22, at a home in Granjeno.

On Saturday, investigators located Criado as he was walking into the home.

U.S. Marshals, Border Patrol agents, Mission Police and Hidalgo County Sheriff’s deputies approached the home and placed him under arrest.

Officers also found a second man inside the home, and detained him under immigration charges.

Criado has an active warrant out of Monterey County in California on homicide charges.

According to the warrants, Criado and two other men allegedly shot and killed a man and wounded a second during a shooting in Greenfield, California on May 8, 2012.

Police also believe he is responsible for at least three other murders, including a double homicide tied to drugs and gangs.

U.S. Marshals booked Criado into the Hidalgo County Jail, where he will await extradition to California.
