Woman arrested for prostitution offer at Harlingen park

A 31-year-old Harlingen woman was arrested on Thursday after offering sex in exchange for money to an undercover officer.

Harlingen PD’s Special Investigation Unit was working at Gutierrez Park that night when Nelda Gonzales came up to th undercover officer around 8 p.m.

She then offered to engage in sexual conduct with him for a fee.

The officer arrested Gonzales on a prostitution charge and she was taken to City Jail.

Gonzalez was arraigned the next day and her bond was set at $500.
