Fatal hit-and-run reported off Expressway 83 in McAllen

Authorities are expected to release new details about a fatal hit-and-run accident that happened off Expressway 83 in McAllen.

It all happened on the westbound lanes of Expressway 83 near South 23rd Street around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

McAllen police said the suspect vehicle fled the scene of the fatal accident.

Investigators are expected to release more information at a press conference to be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
