A federal jury in has found a Brownsville attorney guilty in all seven counts for his role in the Abel Limas "cash for court favors" scandal.
Attorney Ray Marchan appeared for the jury verdict before U.S. District Court Judge Andrew S. Hanen around 2:30 p.m. Monday.
The 55-year-old attorney had been accused of bribing former 404th State District Court Judge Abel Limas.
Marchan had spent the last two weeks on trial for racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering, aiding and abetting and aiding and abetting wire fraud.
After spending the day in deliberations, jurors Marchan guilty of all seven.
Marchan did appear to have much expression on his face but defense attorney appeared disappointed.
Judge Hanen allowed Marchan to remain free on bond until his September 24th sentencing.
