San Benito police arrested two women for fighting outside of a San Benito McDonald’s restaurant on Friday night.

The officers responded to the restaurant on the corner of Sam Houston and South Frontage Road.

The fight was called in by a Cameron County Sheriff deputy at the scene.

A physical altercation broke out between 23-year-old Kendra Cruz and 40-year-old Melissa Sanchez right outside McDonald’s front doors.

They were detained by the deputy then taken into custody by San Benito police for disorderly conduct, fighting in public.

Kendra Cruz was wanted on municipal court warrants totaling over $700.

Both women were transported to the city jail and fined.
