Fingerprints and blood samples helped lead Brownsville police to two brothers who they believe went on a burglary spree over the past few weeks.

Fingerprints and blood samples helped lead Brownsville police to two brothers who they believe went on a burglary spree over the past few weeks.

Brownsville police arrested 18-year-old Elieler Ismael Cruz and 19-year-old Eusebio Cruz on Thursday.

The two brothers are accused of breaking into several businesses off Alton Gloor Boulevard in the city’s northside.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the crimes happened over the past few weeks but detectives used fingerprints and blood samples to help connect them to the crimes.

The brother remains in custody at the Brownsville City Jail where they’re expected to face a judge on Friday morning.
