Pedestrians hit at South Padre Island beach access

A driver hit three pedestrians at a beach access on South Padre Island Saturday night.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident happened at Beach Access 5.

The car hit the three people around 7 p.m.

EMS was notified, and the pedestrians were taken to the hospital.

No word yet on what happened to the driver or what punishment he will face.

Action 4 News will provide more information as new details become known.
