Authorities are investigating what caused a large grass fire along the banks of the Rio Grande River in Roma.
It all happened in a brushy area off Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Streets in Roma around 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Roma firefighters told Action 4 News that they put the fire under control shortly after 7 p.m. Friday.
It's not clear what started the fire but authorities said it moved away from homes and towards the Rio Grande River.
