A major accident snarled traffic on the westbound lanes of Expressway 83 between McAllen and Pharr during the noon rush hour.
It all happened noon on Wednesday.
Investigators confirmed that Three cars involved an 18-wheeler and two cars.
Police believe that one of the cars crashed into the 18-wheeler.
One the vehicles here ended up skidding against a concrete barrier and ended up facing traffic the wrong way.
No major injuries but paramedics evaluated everyone involved as a precaution.
Authorities reduced the expressway to one lane while they cleared the wreck.
Traffic was backed up from Jackson Road to the U.S. Highway 281 interchange.
