Every year, Northway Bible Church makes sure that no mom leaves a Mother's Day service without feeling appreciated.
Like every Sunday, members gathered at this small church in Harlingen to praise and worship God.
But on this Sunday morning, mom got the spotlight once the service was over.
Each year, every mother receives a single rose before they leave.
Members told Action 4 News that they look forward to coming to church this special Sunday, and that moms deserve a day of recognition.
"I think just to thank the moms for all the work they do," said one church member.
Others were quick to agree.
"She handled a lot with me," another member said. "She put up with a lot, so that's why she's special."
The church praises God for the blessings of motherhood, and will carry this tradition of giving for years to come.
