Woman recovering after ex-boyfriend allegedly shot her five times

The woman, who was shot multiple times allegedly by her ex-boyfriend, is recovering in a Brownsville hospital.

Jasmine Reyes had been shot Friday evening and was transported to the hospital.

She immediately underwent surgery, and after the surgery, she was stabilized and put in intensive care.

Police are continuing the search for the suspected shooter, ex-boyfriend Victor Manuel Hernandez.

The 25-year-old, who was allegedly stalking Reyes, had gone over to her house that evening to talk to her.

According to Brownsville PD, when she walked away from him, Hernandez shot her five times then fled.

Anyone with information that can lead authorities to Hernandez is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 546-TIPS.
