Two people have been charged with tampering with evidence in reference to a shooting in Edinburg on early Thursday morning.

Authorities had been searching for the gun that was used in the shooting

Police arrested Esteban Alvider and Edith Gonzalez at a house on the 100th block of Jeff Lane.

Four people were taken into custody and police are not expecting to make any more arrests.

Authorities recovered multiple weapons from the home and the case is still under investigation.

The arrests were initiated after the gun, that was used to shoot a man in the shoulder over a romantic dispute, went missing.
