Authorities searching for the shooter
Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department are searching for the person that shot a man in his upper torso north of Mercedes Saturday morning.
Deputies responded to the shooting at 2 Mile West and 13 Mile North at 7:30 a.m.
Authorities do not know much about the suspect, but said they are looking into it being related to a possible family or neighborhood dispute.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where his condition remains unknown.
