Authorities are looking for the driver of a stolen truck and several illegal immigrants following a chase northwest of Alton.

It all happened on Iowa Avenue and Mile 14 North northwest of Alton around 1 p.m. Friday.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) state troopers spoke to Action 4 News about the incident.

Investigators said a state trooper was chasing a four-door Chevrolet truck, which was reported stolen out of Mission.

The driver and nine illegal immigrants inside the truck bailed out near an orchard and farm fields off Iowa Avenue and Mile 14 North.

Authorities deployed a helicopter in the skies and were able to catch five of the illegal immigrants.

The driver and four of the immigrants remain at large.

Action 4 News will provide updates as they becomes available.
