Authorities identify elderly woman killed by bus in McAllen

Authorities have identified a woman killed by a City of McAllen bus on Thursday.

McAllen police said 73-year-old Karen Louise Lamar was killed on the frontage road of Expressway 83 near La Plaza Mall on Tuesday morning.

Authorities plan to close down the road again in order to do a reconstruction of the accident.

An autopsy has been ordered but the results were not immediately available.
