An early Sunday morning hit and run accident sent a motorcyclist to the hospital.
South Padre Island Police Department is investigating the accident that happened at the intersection of 5600 Padre Boulevard and Morningside Street on April 15.
The motorcyclist was hit by a light color (between silver and white) 2011 or 2012 Chevrolet Cruze at 2 a.m. that morning.
Police are searching for the Chevy vehicle.
The car will have visible damage from the driver’s door and a possible broken rear left tail light.
The victim was taken to the hospital after sustaining serious injuries and is receiving treatment at Valley Regional Medical Center.
