Authorities are investigating an accident where a woman was hit by a city bus near La Plaza Mall in McAllen.
It all happened off South 10th Street and the eastbound frontage road of Expressway 83 around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
Police said paramedics rushed the woman to the McAllen Medical Center her condition is not known.
Details were not immediately available but the accident remains under investigation.
Witnesses told Action 4 News that woman was elderly and carrying shopping.
The location of the accident is not at a crosswalk, so the woman may have been jaywalking across the frontage road.
Police are blocking off traffic on the eastbound lanes of the frontage road while the investigation is taking place.
