A Mission man is behind bars after leading authorities on a drug chase in western Hidalgo County.
It all started off Expressway 83 near Sullivan City early Tuesday morning.
Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) officials said a state trooper tried to pull over the driver of a Chevrolet truck for speeding.
The driver refused to stop and led state troopers on a chase all the way to Peñitas where he crashed into a car and another truck.
Two people were injured and taken to hospitals in Mission and McAllen.
Authorities found about 829 pounds of marijuana inside the suspect vehicle.
State troopers said the 25-year-old driver has been arrested charged for the incident.
