$904,000 in marijuana seized from shipment of clay pots

Authorities are investigating how more than $904,000 dollars worth of marijuana ended up inside a shipment of clay pots from Mexico.

It all happened at the Pharr-Reynosa Internatioanal Bridge on Saturday.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials told Action 4 News an 18-wheeler with a shipment of clay pots drove up from Mexico.

Customs officers sent the 18-wheeler to secondary inspection where authorities allegedly found 1,877 packages with more than 1,130 pounds of marijuana inside.

Authorities believe the drugs are worth about $904,760 dollars on the streets.

No arrests were reported but federal officials are investigation how the marijuana ended up inside the pots and who put it there.
