It only took a couple hours for a cold front and thunderstorms to sweep across the Rio Grande Valley.

But judging by photos and videos posted to YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, it’s one that many won't forget any time soon.

Area residents turned to social media from Mission and McAllen all the way to Brownsville and Matamoros.

Action 4 News was able to track the storm the storm on-line as it moved city by city across the Valley and into Mexico.

It all ended just as quickly as it started with sun coming out creating rainbows, majestic reminders of natures power and beauty.
